Ready to take control of how you power your sprayer? Whether you’ve got a garage full of DeWALT® tools, prefer Milwaukee®, or just want more flexibility in the field, our QuickSwap™ Battery Adapters let you use the batteries you already own. That means less clutter, more compatibility, and cost savings.
In this quick guide, we’ll show you how to easily change the battery adapter on your QuickSwap™-Compatible FlowZone sprayer so it works seamlessly with third-party batteries from DeWALT®, Milwaukee®, Makita®, and Bosch®.
No tech degree required—just some common tools, a few minutes, and you’re good to go. Let’s dive in:
Determining Whether Your Sprayer Is QuickSwap™-Compatible
Before you get into the install, let’s make sure your FlowZone® sprayer is QuickSwap™-ready. Currently, QuickSwap™ Adapters can only be installed in select Series 3 FlowZone® 4-gallon backpack sprayers such as the latest:
Note: Some earlier versions of the Typhoon™ 3 and Cyclone™ 3 may not be QuickSwap™-compatible. The easiest way to tell? Check the battery holster.
Not sure which model you have?
Look under the battery cover; if there’s a removable battery holster with four screws, you’re good to go!

What You’ll Need
-
Phillips head screwdriver
-
Needle nose pliers (optional, but helpful)
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Locate the Existing Adapter
When you unbox your sprayer, it comes standard with a FlowZone® battery holster installed under the battery cover. -
Remove the Current Holster
Use your Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four screws securing the QuickSwap™ battery holster to the front cover plate. -
Access the Wiring
Flip the QuickSwap™ holster around to reveal the circuit board wires behind it. Gently use your fingers—or needle nose pliers—to pinch the tabs on the metal connectors and disconnect them. Note: You may need to slide the rubber protector down to access the tabs. -
Choose the Right QuickSwap™ Battery Adapter
Select the QuickSwap™ Battery Adapter that matches your trusted battery brand. Each adapter is labeled with the brand(s) it is compatible with. -
Reconnect the Wires
Using your fingers, connect the red wire to the positive terminal on the QuickSwap™ Battery Adapter (marked with a "+" sign) and the black wire to the negative terminal (marked with a "−" sign). Slide the rubber protector back into place if it was moved earlier. -
Secure the QuickSwap™ Adapter
Gently tuck the wires back behind the front cover plate. Position the new QuickSwap™ adapter where the previous one was, and secure it with the four screws you removed earlier.
Important Installation Note:
Not all batteries are the same; double-check your connections before powering up. Always match the red wire to the positive (+) terminal and the black wire to the negative (−) terminal on your QuickSwap™ Adapter. Never force a connector into a terminal. Forcing the connection or wiring it incorrectly can cause serious damage to your sprayer and will void your warranty. When in doubt, reach out to our support team—we’re here to help you get it right the first time!
Dump The Pump™
With the QuickSwap Adapter installed, your FlowZone® sprayer is now powered by the batteries you already trust from DeWALT® to Milwaukee® and beyond. It’s just one more way we’re making your workflow faster, more flexible, and a whole lot easier.
