Spring 2023 introduced new core updates to our 4 gallon backpack sprayer line. Keep reading as we dive into what was improved to continue to make FlowZone the choice of pesticide application professionals.
At the core of the FlowZone brand is our desire to improve our products based on customer feedback. Whether a feature request is received on an online customer review or delivered over the phone to a member of our Support Team, we take all feedback into consideration. As a result, the FlowZone brand continues to earn more and more trust as the go-to battery sprayer equipment of owners and technicians alike.
That said, with the launch of our Series 3 Pro-Series sprayers, we incorporated several new, functional updates to our most popular electric sprayers based on feedback from the field:
1. Improved Serviceability & Water Resistance
The front cover plate received a make over on the new Series 3 Typhoon™ and Series 3 Cyclone™ sprayers. The front cover now has a more rounded design and larger surface area. The new front cover design resists more water from damaging internal components with a new Viton® seal along the whole front cover plate and tank exterior. Remove five screws and the cover lifts for easy access to internal electrical components such as the diaphragm pump, circuit board, and microswitch. This makes it simpler than ever to service and maintain these electric backpack sprayers.
2. Detachable Hoses
A new threaded brass male connector at the base of the spray tank makes it so that you can detach the hose without removing the front cover plate. The new hose included with the Series 3 sprayer is a reversible PVC hose with two brass female M18 threads on either end. With the ability to detach the hose from the base of the sprayer, it is now easier than ever to swap hoses, prepare the sprayer for storage, or clean out your sprayer.
3. TeeJet® Style Nozzle Lineup
Our customers use FlowZone® sprayers for a wide variety of spraying applications. As such, the demand for different, specialized nozzles keeps increasing. Hoping to improve the versatility of our nozzle lineup, we have introduced three new nozzles in the Series 3 launch, replacing the previous pressure-washer style nozzles.
First, there is a well-rounded, fully brass adjustable nozzle that provides a thick stream to a conical mist pattern.
Next, the most versatile additions are the (1) TeeJet®-style 45˚ fan nozzle tip with a 45˚ nozzle base and (2) a 0˚ pin-stream nozzle tip with a straight nozzle base. The nozzle bases are interchangeable with the two nozzle tips. What’s more, the adapters can be used with your choice of TeeJet® nozzles. Whether you are spraying insecticide, herbicide, or fertilizer, your preferred nozzle pattern can be achieved with a FlowZone® sprayer. But always make sure that the nozzle orifice does not restrict the flow of output so much as to damage the pump.
4. Legible Liquid Level Indicator Marks
It’s easier than ever to identify how much product you have put into your sprayer. With liquid-level indicator marks every quarter gallon (and every liter), you can quickly and easily fill your sprayer to the appropriate level in order to accomplish your job faster.
What Didn’t Change?
Even with these updates, something that remains the same is the superior performance you have come to expect from our sprayers. Our lithium-ion battery technology has always been a foundation for our sprayers’ performance. This is still true with the launch of Series 3. With a three-layer protection against common battery ailments such as overheating, overcharging, and incompatible voltages, each battery is made to last for up to three hours of continuous spraying. Most techs find that they only need to charge their sprayer’s battery once a week.
