The difference between the two units lie in the pump assembly and battery. The differences in pumps contribute to the sprayers' different flow rates and output.
The Typhoon™ series has a maximum deadhead pressure of 115 psi and a 18V/5.2h lithium-ion battery.
The Cyclone™ series on the other hand, has a maximum deadhead pressure of 60 psi and a 18V/2.6Ah lithium-ion battery.

Each of our sprayers are versatile and can be used for most applications. However, different industries prefer different sprayers:
Pest Control Operators (PCOs) tend to prefer the Typhoon™ series as they have a higher psi rating which allows for a further spray distance and higher flow rate.
Turf and Ornamental (T&O) companies tend to prefer the Cyclone™ series as the extra pressure is typically not necessary. The lower psi setting on the Cyclone™ can also be useful when treating delicate plants.
Cleaning professionals tend to prefer the Storm™ series as it offers the lower flow rate of the Cyclone™ and is small enough to easily maneuver indoors.

Included accessories (i.e. nozzles, etc.) may differ depending on the sprayer. However, each sprayer generally comes with a battery, charger, nozzles, wand, spray handle/gun, and wand holster(s).
Essentially, you will have everything needed to start spraying right out of the box!
Depending on the pressure setting being used, our batteries tend to last for up to three (3) hours of continuous spraying.
It is unlikely for the battery to run out of power during one day's work. However, having a spare battery can be useful in case of an unforeseen incident such as losing the battery, the battery being accidentally damaged, etc. Some customers have found it helpful to have one battery charging while another is in use.
We have also started to offer Battery Adapters that allow you to use Milwaukee®, Dewalt®, or Makita® batteries with your sprayer.
Please refer to the operation manual packaged with your sprayer for compatible replacement parts and accessories.
A digital version of the operation manual can also be found on the product page or online here.
Although FlowZone® sprayers are not electrostatic, they have proven very successful in the cleaning industry due to their uniform spray pattern and continuous flow rate.
You can also explore our sister brand, X-Stream Clean, for electrostatic offerings and sprayers designed for cleaning and sanitization.
We partner with some of the largest USA and Canadian Pest Control, Landscape, and Agriculture chemical and equipment distributors. If you are a licensed professional, please visit or contact your local chemical distributor at a retail location near you.

FlowZone® Concrete+. The easiest, most versatile solution for 100% OSHA Table 1 compliance, battery-powered sprayers use a quick-connect GHT hose connection for universal attachment to cut saws and core drills for water delivery to knock down silica dust.
operation & maintenance
Absolutely. In order to avoid clogging the inlet filter and/or pump, we simply ask our customers to thoroughly mix the product in an appropriate container before putting it into the sprayer.
If re-mixing is required, it can be easily done by spraying back into the tank and agitating the liquid.
Bleach can be used in our sprayers with Viton™ seals in a 1:3 bleach to water ratio max.
When using a bleach solution in the sprayer, it is important to rinse and flush the sprayer thoroughly after use to avoid causing damage to the diaphragm pump.
There is an extremely vast list of products that are used across the industries we serve, and this list continues to grow.
While the majority of products work well with our sprayers, we do ask our customers to check the compatibility of the intended product with the wetted materials used in our sprayers (Viton™, TPV, PVC, and polyethylene.)
Chemicals containing the following can damage your sprayer: essential oils, acetone, and petroleum based solutions.
We do offer a special line of sprayers that are designed specially for acetone-based applications.
There are a couple of good tips. First, clean your sprayer after each use! This is the most overlooked method to extend your sprayers life yet the cause of most early failures.
Second, take care to not leave your sprayer outside in inclement weather or spray hose directed water toward the chamber containing the pump and electronics. While the battery door itself is waterproof and all the internal components are water resistant, excessive ingress of water can, over time, shorten your sprayer’s life.
See the video below for best practices:
Any nozzle that meets minimum flow requirements. Using a nozzle with lower flow rates can cause damage and early failure to your sprayer’s pump.
All the nozzles included with the sprayer have been tested for compatibility. Using third party and aftermarket nozzles is not recommended and could void your sprayer's warranty.
product - vortex™
The Vortex Mist Blower is powered by a proprietary 40V battery platform. The batteries from FlowZone sprayers cannot be used with the Vortex as it requires a lot more energy to run the 600W axial fan.
We choose to Pass On The Gas™ because with the Vortex® battery-powered mist blower, there is no need to pullstart the machine, teach technicians how to mix gas and oil, store a hot machine in the truck, or tune up the carburetor.
Plus, save on the cost of gas and time lost during fill-ups.
While our sprayers are effective for many different uses, certain applications, such as mosquito treatment, will call for the smaller droplet sizes achievable with the mist blower.
In addition, the blow force from the mist blower rustle the leaves on trees for effective coverage.

All shipping rates are determined by the carrier. The best way to get a shipping estimate is to initiate the checkout process and input your shipping address. No payment information is necessary at this step and you are not required to place an order.
Processing times depend on order volume. Under normal circumstances, orders require 24-48 hours to process.
